HATE AND LOVE
- I Love Red , Orange , Purple .
- I believe in vision, in imagination.
- I believe boy bands are dangerous.
- I love Fiona Apple
- I don't smoke. I don't like pastel colors, they make me yawn.
- I love a mind of my own, brightening someone else's day.

  Some juicy bits:
* Among her expressions are "Ayayayaaaay", "That's weird" and "Are you sure?"
which sound a bit grotesque. Maybe that's when she gets to watch her
favorite Tom Green.

* Getting into sports like soccer really boosted her confidence unlike before
when she was still chubby. It could have made
her feel a bit insecured.

* She owns a shih tzu dog named Solomon. Before, she had an
Indonesian black-cap parrot called Kulay which had died

KC on HUMAN

KC on Candy Mag!
Have you ever been in love? What was it like? Yes, I've been in love, and it was the most real feeling in all the world... (Aww!!) But I still can't correctly define true love at the moment.

Have you had your first kiss? What was it like? Yeah, I think I was about 5 & I remember it being enormously sloppy!

Who are our best friends, and why?
I've got a handful of best friends, some of whom I've known since the 1 + 1 years!
Especially a life like mine, it's soo tough to find people without any "hidden agenda" or people who really don't care about the glamour in your life & will be with you in the bus, when the limousine breaks down PHEW!

Amidst the media blitz and the interest from every known social bracket, the 17-year old girl in the middle of it all is trying to keep it real as much as possible. She recognizes the fact that she 's never gone as public and that she has prepared herself for the aftermath. "It will take a lot of courage," she says. "I try to keep my feet on the ground and try to ignore the fuss although its not completely ignorable."

The girl, while staying in the sidelights for most of her young life, has lived the life of a celebrity ."I know that I'm someone people already knew something about," she admits. She's offers to do commercials, movies, TV shows from the time she was 9 years old. It is only now that her famous mom, Sharon Cuneta, finally allowed her to take that inevitable dip in the celebrity waters. "She thought I was ready for it," the daughter relates. "And I've been a fan of Human even before the offer came. I go to the Rockwell store and would really wear their clothes. I wouldn't endorse anything I don't believe in."

But if people suspect this signals her entrance to the movies, KC maintains it's not. She likes to take things one at a time. The Human campaign, the stage play she's currently doing, and school are already a handful. While she's enjoying a break from school until it resumes in September, KC likes to keep academic life busy. She's in the school's honor roll, the choir, the class council. She's Pro for the environmental club, a secretary for the Junior Council and an honorary officer for the Philippine Cultural Club.

Outside of books, she makes it a point she sees her friends and gets to hang out with them to catch up on anything and everything -from the subject of boys to the latest music to lacrosse.

"I try to do everything," she says, "I've played soccer, lacrosse, volleyball. I was serious about figure skating for a while, and it's still a favorite. I did horseback-riding and I dive."

When it comes to music, she likes R&B performers like Aretha Franklin and Brian McKnight and artists who may not be known for their voices but for the power of their lyrics like Fiona Apple. She's not a big Sharon fan but says she likes her mom's rendition of Kahit Kailan. Of her mom's movie projects it is "Madrasta" that gets her vote, and when it comes to actors, "My mother's second to none."

Another factor that's keeping KC busy these days is her baby sister. People who have recently met KC, hear her speak about her obsessions with Simone Francesca Emmanuele; Frankie to everyone, Simone to KC. The cell phone she was just recently allowed to own has for its screensaver a picture of her and her little sister. If not busy at home playing with her sister, she hangs out with mom. "We love to laugh and make kuwento," daughter relates. Sometime just being together in a room while mom is doing something is, for KC, already a shared activity.

"I just try to stick to what's real, what's real in my life, what's not showbiz," the new image model says. "There are things that are really important to me, like family, friends, true friends, real people, real situations."

Tonight, however, KC Concepcion is star endorser. The press will ask her questions, the paparazzi will focus their flashes on her alone, everyone else will talk about her. It's inevitable. She's the Megastar's daughter. She owns one of the few really gorgeous presences to appear in the celebrity constellation of late. And as Human's Ben Chan puts it, "She's young and vibrant and unpredictable. She is sincere and spontaneous. She's a prize catch."
